I have been thinking of the same things lately and how feeding our minds junk or other people's doubts, sets us up for failure or being less than what we can be. I am training for my first 50 mile trail ultra this year and was surprised of the nea-sayers (marathon runners and non-runners both). If I would let their issues creep into my being, how would I succeed or begin to believe? So glad I found your blog for inspiration. "It is si...Keira, I always love when you post! "It is simply impossible to achieve anything without belief in oneself. You must truly put aside all doubt, and really visualize what you want, where you will be, and picture yourself doing that." I had a meet with my therapist last night who couldn't believe how uncertain I am about my possibility of making my passion(s) into my work in a near future! I, like, need a safety net of a stupid job I do daily for 20 years and don't like (not hate, but not like either, just a paycheck). I feel same about my running skills, regardless how I do - that phrase you used "if you think you're ordinary..." - well, I am always uncomfortable when someone says otherwise, because to me I am just normal. BUT I KNOW I can't get anywhere if I keep thinking down about myself! So you keep writing, girl, and kick ass at Old Goats this weekend!Olgahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00493291972954387932noreply@blogger.com
